For some that expecting a refund in 2017 for your 2016 tax returns you will have to wait longer then normal!

Refunds will not be issued until Mid-February for people claiming the Earned Income Tax Credit or the Additional Child Tax Credit.

One thing you can do now would be to change your withholding for the next couple of checks. Using your pay stub and your yearly income to date add what you believe you will make the rest of the year. Then using last year’s tax return figure out what may be your net income or in tax lingo taxable income. Then use the table on the next page to determine how much you would need to pay in. Please note these numbers are not the final numbers. As always the IRS can change things. Check to see if you have already paid that much in. If you have change your W-4 to exempt or lower your withholdings. The idea here is to lower the amount of refund you would be waiting for.
