E-Filing is Scheduled to Start Jan. 30

The IRS announced today that it will begin accepting tax returns January 30 after updating forms and completing programming and testing of its processing systems. This is delayed from the original date of January 22.  According to the IRS the announcement means that the vast majority of tax filers — more than 120 million households — should be able to start filing tax returns starting Jan 30.

We can still meet with you, we just can not efile at this time. It seems like every year we do not get the final decision from the IRS until January. They have all year to decide what they are going to do to us. Yet, they wait.
